There's nothing like a silly hat to convince believers that you are close to God.

am i right for doing this?
by Akid48 inso im not in school yet but i was rethinking over somethings that happened from that school year.i know that one person that is a jw in my school.now we had gym together but he is a grade up from me when i would do something that didnt seem right and something we shouldnt do he gave me a mean look or he would just stop hanging out and walk a way so i stoped talking to him for my own good.
i just kinda feel bad for not talking to him but if i do something that seems bad in the jw eye i feel like he might tell the elders.. and i dont need that right now.....

It is never wrong to protect yourself from foolishness that makes life miserable. Have no fear, you are fine. If he asks why, just say you are really busy or be honest and tell him you are tired of being judged and having him make a big thing of nothing.

I love to hear the news without seeing it as a sign from God of how soon the destruction will be here at his hand.
I find it so liberating not to be judged by the elites in the congregation who didn't like my showing them up via my sincerity which exposed their lack of honesty. Motives that were self centered.
I love NOT going to McDonald's, EVER!

Today there was a Jesus preaching head case with a bullhorn blaring "save yourself from the fires of hell! Accept Jesus. God Loves you!" He came into the store I entered and stood behind me in line continuing to rant about Jesus and Chemtrails and Trump getting ready to "Chip" us all just as Revelation says.
I didn't engage him, why would I? Then it hit me, that was me pioneering for 9 years. I didn't use a bullhorn or stare people down, but I firmly believed Jehovah was going to destroy all the people I saw and I had a responsibility to make it known to them. I was operating from a belief system that made me act irrational, however sane it may have seemed to me. I couldn't completely condemn this wacko, he was sincere. Is he wrong? Yep. Was I wrong? Yep.
Looking back I see that without objectivity I became a fool for a religion. Are you removed enough that you can see who you were with true objectivity?

Another example of the smothering and high control nature of JW husbands
by stuckinarut2 ini have noticed another popular pattern of behaviour amongst witnesses in recent years.. many, and i mean lots of ones with instagram accounts have closed the wife's account, and have started a "couple's" account instead.
also, for families.
the children's accounts have been closed, and the husband starts a "family account".. it is mainly on the husband's device, and seemingly under his control.

Witness or not, I would want to know what my kids are doing on social media, especially if they are preteens. So I guess I'm not so critical of that aspect.

What I Noticed At An Event During This Week. . . . . .
by HiddlesWife ini attended an event this week with my usual closest relatives, which was inside a community center-ish venue with a backyard area.
it was given by my cousin's best friend.
she invited around 50 people of all age groups and racially-mixed.

In 1974 it was "disco" parties. They did the "Hustle" and wore bell bottomed pants, scandalous. 99% of those people are no longer witnesses. Things don't change much really. There are always those who flaunt their love for fads and trends. There will always be those who clamp down on them out of self righteous concern for their survival of the big A. Its all such a waste of breath.

Marry only in the Lord
by Jules Saturn inthe second half of 1 corinthians 7:39 reads "...she is free to be married to whomever she wants, only in the lord.".
so we all know that scripture for being doctrine for witnesses when they select a marriage mate and how they are strictly encouraged to marry amongst themselves and look down upon or marked if they marry an outsider.
i have a friend who met a worldly man and when it came to light, her father gave her the option to end the relationship or to marry him, and she chose the latter.

Let's face it, its smart to marry without bringing the teachings of a cult into the mix. Only in the Lord makes sense if you earnestly believe the crap they are shoveling. No arguments over holidays with the kids etc. Who needs that nightmare? Each example of how "marrying OUT of the Lord" mentioned here which were successful, include the point that the "Lord" was removed from their marriages. They all came to a union of belief in their marriages. So being of one mind is a benefit. "Only in the Lord" is no guarantee of success because those "in" the Lord are themselves slaves to another mate, the WT governing body who go to bed with them each night.
